Day 1
- 09:00Colosseum
Book it for opening. The first hour is the only quiet one.
- 11:30Roman Forum
Same ticket as the Colosseum. Enter from the Palatine side to skip the queue.
- 14:00Campo de' Fiori
Market until early afternoon, then lunch at one of the trattorias off the square.
- 17:00Pantheon
Free, and best late when the light comes straight down through the oculus.
Day 2
- 09:30Vatican Museums
Timed entry. Go straight to the Sistine Chapel, then walk back through.
- 13:00Trevi Fountain
Two minutes, not twenty. It is a stop on the way, not a destination.
- 15:00Spanish Steps
Climb them for the view down Via dei Condotti, then keep going to the park.
- 17:30Galleria Borghese
Two-hour slots. Book ahead — the gallery admits nobody without it.
